Here are some verses that I read in my Bible study,
Proverbs 18:12- Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, but humility goes before honor.
I think a lot of the time we being humans think that it goes the other way around, in other words that your pride or haughtiness it the thing that brings you honor.
That however is not the case the Bible tells us that humility comes before honor. I have been struggling with this in my own life too when someone( a little sibling or parent) corrects me for something that I have obviously done wrong.
Pride is a sin and I think that we as Christians need to fight against it. It is not easy but God does not want us to have pride in our life.Thankfully God does not ask us to fight this on our own.
He will always be there for you cast your burden on him.
