Gingerbread cooking/eating!

Here is some gingerbread that we iced and decorated this morning! (If you want to see pictures before this point go to my new blog!) They are so beautiful this year! I love the fact that they are so colourful.

Of course I was to busy to take pictures of my little siblings helping to ice. I think that my mom may have taken some though!

Do you ever find yourself drifting from the true meaning of Christmas?

I think that we all do in one way or another. It is very hard not to. Think of it, the holiday is promoted all over the world as the holiday to give or most often to GET. I have been there! But this year since I am older I have come to realize that none of those things matter. Instead I have been trying to focus on the true meaning of Christmas.

Luke 2:10-

~But the Angel said to them, "Do not be afraid ; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.~

This is the true meaning of Christmas! Now I am not saying that Christmas is not about gift giving. Look at what God did for us he gave us his only son. All I am saying is lets not lose focus on the reason for the season. Jesus coming to save us is the real meaning for Christmas!
