Have you ever had one of one of those experiences when you were cooking that something mysteriously goes wrong. (We all have in one way or another!) When I was younger I made brownies when some of our friends were over. There was nothing wrong with my brownie recipe but one of my siblings, (no names are added here) decided that they would add their own twist!
When I was not looking they put a button in the batter and I had no idea about it. Well of course someone found the button and after that everyone would tease me and say that I put the button in the batter!!! I hope I have cleared my name of that crime.
Anyway here is a recipe for brownies.
Hannah's Button Brownies
3/4 cup butter-melt
3 cups sucanat (or brown sugar)
1Tb vanilla
4 eggs
Add sucanat, vanilla and eggs to the butter. Blend and let sit for ten min.
1 1/2 cup brown rice flour (if you don't need it to be gluten-free you can use whole wheat pastry or white flour.)
1Tb baking powder
3/4 cup cocoa
Add all this to the batter, mix and spread in a greased 9 by 13 pan.
Bake at 350 digress for 35 mins.
