Dear Friends,
Hello! Thank you so much for visiting my blog. It means a lot to me.
Recently when I was reading my Bible I found this verse.
Proverbs 13:3 "The one who guards his life preserves his life; the one who opens wide his lips comes to ruin."
Maybe you can relate to this in the way I can. Sometimes I am in the middle of cleaning up the kitchen and my little brother comes in wanting to get more food after the meal is over. There are two ways I can handle this. First I can get angry at my brother and say unkind things and by doing that come to ruin (also causing my little brother to get hurt). Or I could use my lips to honor God by speaking kindly to my brother. The difference between these two ways is one will preserve my life and the other will ruin it. The Bible points out that the tongue is very powerful!
James 3:5 "So also the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it boasts of great things. See how great a forest is set aflame by such a small fire!"
Wow what a powerful verse. This verse is clearly stating how strong the tongue is. Clearly then the tongue can either be a way to encourage others or a way to tear them down. So what is your tongue doing? Does it tear others (and yourself) down? Or is it used to build others up? Remember to seek Jesus when you are tempted. If you will give your life to Jesus you will be amazed what He will do in your life!

Hannah,
Thank you for sharing your insights! The principle of speaking kindly is one I see demonstrated by your family often.
I will look forward to reading what you write here, and sharing your posts with Claire and Gabby.

Good job Hannah,
It is awesome to see teens blogging for Christ. You have a very powerful tool in your hands to reach the world.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
grace and peace,
